The WEST calls it “football”; we call it “small poles” and “big poles”.

Beauty of Ghanaian Football

Playing football as a young Ghanaian boy in your neighborhood requires a combination of strength, skill, agility and “common sense”.

We need no referees, no astro turf, no jerseys, and no boots. All we need are building blocks for goalpost, “chalewote” (bathroom slipper)  as boots and “Case5” (a rough canvas ball), to produce a spectacular game and outstanding players.

A star in the making

A big salute to Michael Essien, Asamoah Gyan, Sulley Muntari and the other awesome football icons in Ghana, for rising to such heights against all the odds.

Ghana is the place to be if you’re a diehard football fan!
